One week from today we elect the next President of the United States.

I lay awake last night- not watching the Titans game, but praying for our country and this election. I had wondered whether I wanted to post on my blog about the presidential election and all the controversy that comes with it. Then, I thought- I want to shout it to the hills that I AM FOR GOD and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that GOD IS NOT FOR THIS.

I can not carry on in my happy place and think “hey it’s going to all be alright” or “I know God is in control”. You know what - God is in control but He also is waiting on us- waiting on us to act, to call out for Him, to seek Him. Waiting on us to turn from our complacency and wicked ways. Waiting for us to stand up for what we believe in!

Folks, this is a big deal. Never has an election been this big a deal. We have a candidate running that is ok with abortions and especially live birth abortions (that is an abortion so late in pregnancy that the baby can live for several hours and is just left to die). Click here to listen http://www.americaschoicenow.com/ . A candidate whose stance on the American flag has been questioned. A candidate that may have accepted money from our enemies in the Middle East to fund his campaign (it is not ok to let other countries decide our next president by sending millions of dollars to the candidate of its choice). A candidate that is having a hard time producing a legal US Birth Certificate. A candidate that does not believe in or agree with Christian values.

We can not be ok with this. This is not what we believe in. No matter republican or democrat- this is not the way for our country.

What is this country coming to? There has been a gradual decline in Christian morals and values over the past few decades. We just seem to accept, without question, more and more. We must stop this downward spiral. We must take our country back. Now is the time to stand up for what we believe in. Now is the time to call on God, live for Him, and change our ways.

Please commit to praying for our nation and this election. I believe life as we know it depends on it.

I could go on and on - but it won’t do any good. The good will only be done if we pray and seek God.

2 Chronicles 7:14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Thank you for saying all of this that has been on my mind! What do we do if the elected president is the immoral, nonchristian one? Thats what I cant figure out. Just pray I guess, just pray.

Preach it, Sista!!!

I've already cast my vote for life and patriotism and now I can only pray that he actually assumes the office.

Too bad Mr. Monty isn't on the Presidential ticket :)
