something i look forward to every year

Matthew 6:28-34 (The Message)

Has anyone by fussing in front of the mirror ever gotten taller by so much as an inch? All this time and money wasted on fashion—do you think it makes that much difference? Instead of looking at the fashions, walk out into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They never primp or shop, but have you ever seen color and design quite like it? The ten best-dressed men and women in the country look shabby alongside them.

If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don't you think he'll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? ....
**each february i eagerly anticipate the arrival of buttercups or daffodils (whatever you like to call them). they always surprise me because i think it is still too cold but one day i look and wow-there they are. oh the joy of the first signs of spring!
**i first noticed them about a week and a half ago but they weren't in full swing so i didn't make the trek to them. joey and the kids visited them this weekend and picked me beautiful bouquets and finally, today i made it up there to take pics and soak in the beauty of it all.
**you see this little jewel of a spot is way behind our house, up an unkempt hill, and beside an old and somewhat spooky place. we found it the first year we lived here and i look forward to the grand show every year. it truly amazes me that God creates such beauty tucked away somewhere where someone can only see it if they happen upon it by chance. i think often how it is back there and wish i could see it from my window- or that anyone could see it from anywhere. but, it is just secretly back there waiting to bless someone who finds it. and i thank God that i (and the kiddos) are blessed by it every year.
**if you live close - you should come and see- and pick your own.
**oh and by the way i have something else very awesome to share soon!

We have a place just like this behind our house. I only found it because I was riding our 4-wheeler back with my lab one day. And oddly enough, there is a very old, scarey building by ours too. Buttercups are my absolute favorite flower...they just make me happy.
